Mather Architects provides a full range of what would be considered typical architectural and design services throughout Virginia and West Virginia— schematic design, design development, construction documentation, negotiation and contract administration.
What’s not typical is our approach. We’re highly consultative and collaborative, partnering with our clients to understand their environmental and budget needs, then designing solutions that address them through value and innovation.

We Understand Budget
We take a highly consultative approach on every project, listening to our clients’ needs and concerns, then exploring solutions that address those needs with novel designs or unexpected site configurations.
It’s easy to go to extremes by going really cheap or fancy and expensive. We balance client objectives, budget, site characteristics, and local codes to create structures that are beautiful, functional, and within budget.
