Grace UMC Fellowship Hall, Classrooms, and Kitchen Addition
This project involved an addition to Grace UMC (United Methodist Church) which includes a Fellowship Hall, four classrooms, a commercial kitchen, and restrooms. Renovations were also carried out inside the existing Fellowship Hall to convert it for use by their Children’s school.
The Fellowship Hall is sized to accommodate 350 people seated at tables and also has a stage at one end, and direct service from the kitchen. Adequate storage was provided for all the tables and chairs so that the room could also serve multiple functions, such as for sports, worship, receptions, etc.
The classrooms have operable walls, allowing for flexibility in the use and size of classrooms. An outside entry is provided to one of the classrooms to use “after-hours” without access to the entire facility. The restrooms each have two showers so that overnight functions can be accommodated.
The addition has its own main entrance and is connected to the existing building with secure, programmable card-key access to again allow for flexibility in the type and hours of use of the facility without opening up the entire church.
